The Georgian-American School of Batumi is continuing remote learning with the help of our EDUPAGE platform and ZOOM

As foreseen, the Spring Semester at Georgian-American School of Batumi started on March 16, needless to say distantly.

In the process of distance learning, the school chose the principle of so-called Blended Learning.

EDUPAGE has been selected as the primary platform for distance learning, which the school possesses since its opening and has a familiar functionality for teachers, students and their parents.

Due to the new needs, the school, in a short period of time, equipped the platform with an updated functionality, which made it possible to offer students a virtual classroom during the distance learning process:

  • Video and audio lessons;
  • Presentations and other additional study materials;
  • Tests;
  • Possibility of interaction and feedback with teachers.

The ZOOM platform is also used as an auxiliary device in the learning process to ensure additional interaction between teachers and students.

Prior to the beginning of the semester, all teachers in the school underwent software and technical training, and all who needed such assistance received additional technical support during the first week.

At the moment, we can say that the academic calendar is being fulfilled as it was planned and is unchanged, and the learning process covers all the subjects that are foreseen in the program.

In total, 830 video tutorials have been posted on EDUPAGE.

The viewing rate of uploaded videos and the number of students involved in ZOOM lessons indicates that the Georgian-American School of Batumi has effectively coped with the new challenge in such a short period of time.

Georgian-American School of Batumi would like to thank the teachers and the administration for their hard work.
