Literary Marathon
A "Literary Marathon" in Georgian language and literature was held at the Georgian-American School of Batumi. Five teams consisting of 5th graders participated. During the last 4 months of the 2nd semester, students carefully read the following four works by Astrid Lindgren: "Ronia, the Robber's Daughter," "The Children of Bullerby Village," "Mio, My Son," and "Emil's Adventures."
The students approached the text processing with great enthusiasm, interest, and excitement and succeeded brilliantly. The marathon consisted of three rounds: in the first, they identified characters based on illustrations, recognized work titles, and discussed episodes; in the second and third, they answered various types of questions and puzzles. The purpose of the "Literary Marathon" was to popularize fiction literature and spark deep interest in it.
The winning group participants are:
- Mariam Seidishvili;
