Ilias Week
"Ilia Week" was organized at the Georgian-American School of Batumi.
As part of the week, we invited Otar Gogolishvili, a professor of Batumi State University, historian, director of the Khariton Akhvlediani Museum of Local Lore, who gave a lecture on the topic: Ilia Chavchavadze and Adjara.
The lecture was attended by students of grades IX-XII and teachers.
As part of the same week, students of grade XI visited the Ilia Chavchavadze Museum in Batumi, where they heard the story of Ilia Chavchavadze's life and work and his visit to Batumi, and then, based on the information they heard and the knowledge they acquired during the lesson, they created and designed a newspaper.
Museum representatives presented certificates to students and teachers participating in the educational program. In addition, students presented their abstracts based on Ilia's work on the following topics:
- "Broken Bridge";
- "Confrontation between Generations".
