International Earth Day

April 22 - International Earth Day.

By the resolution of the UN General Assembly, International Earth Day has been celebrated since 1971 and is of an ecological nature, it aims to prevent natural disasters and protect the ecosystem.

This day was established by American Senator Gaylord Nelson after the 1969 oil spill from the Santa Barbara oil field, which led to ocean pollution and the destruction of aquatic life.

More than 20 million people took part in the celebration of this day. International Earth Day is one of the largest environmental events in the world, in which various organizations and millions of volunteers from 192 countries of the world participate every year.
