The team "Gandagana" consisting of V-VI grade students of the Georgian-American School of Batumi is the winner of the Georgian regional final of the World Robotics Olympiad in the Robomission Elementary category.

The World Robotics Olympiad, which has been held since 2004, is a challenging, educational competition where participants, young people from different parts of the world, design and assemble robots, which help young people develop creative thinking, planning and problem-solving skills.

Since 2020, the World Robotics Olympiad has been held in Georgia every year.

Three teams of "Georgian-American School of Batumi" were represented at the Olympiad.

The winning team "Gandagana" in the Robomission Elementary category is made up of:

  • Andria Beridze;
  • Lola Memiadze;
  • Davit Khuchua.

The members of the "Reverse B" team, which won the third place in the Robomission Junior category, are:

  • Gabriel Kverghelidze;
  • Nodo Gelashvili;
  • Anri Dumbadze.

The members of the "Zzz" team, which won the seventh place in the Robomission Junior category, are:

  • Kesaria Disamidze;
  • Nihal Balakishiev;
  • Giorgi Sikharulidze.

The winning team will go to Panama, where they will compete in the World Robotics Olympiad on behalf of the Georgian-American School of Batumi.
