International Women's Day in Mathematics
Students of the 6a and 6b classes of the Georgian-American School of Batumi presented a presentation on the world-famous female mathematicians who made a great contribution to the development of mathematics, both science and technology.
Mariam Mirzakhani (1977-2017) - the first female laureate of the highest mathematical award. International Women's Day in Mathematics is celebrated every year in her honor on May 12, Mariam's birthday. Events celebrating this day are held from May 12 to June 15.
