Success by teachers and students from GASB
The Ministry of Education, Culture, and Sports of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara has organized an award ceremony for the winners of the 2018 competitions and Olympiads. A total of 121 students and 73 teachers, including 7 students and 2 mathematics teachers from the Georgian-American School of Batumi, have been awarded at the ceremony.
Students
- First place – Nika Daraselia, 7th grade.
- Second place - Diana Diasamidze, 6th grade (team competition).
- Third place – Nina Chokonelidze, 6th grade (team competition).
- Fourth place – Sandro Kordzaia, 7th grade (team competition).
- Fifth place – Davit Diasamidze, 7th grade (team competition).
- Sixth place – Giorgi Kasradze, 7th grade (individual competition).
- Seventh place Teimuraz Jakeli, 7th grade (individual competition).

The winning students and their teachers were gifted laptops, tablet computers and diplomas by the Adjara Government and Supreme Council heads Tornike Rizhvadze and Davit Gabaidze, head of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Committee of the Supreme Council Lado Mgaloblishvili, Minister of Education, Culture and Sports Maia Khajishvili, first Deputy Minister Jemal Surmanidze, secretary Alexandre Davitadze, and secretary Akaki Dzneladze. The Georgian-American School of Batumi thanks and wishes the best of luck to each student and teacher having participated in the event.
