GASB ECO- CLUB
Members of the Batumi Georgian-American School "Eco-Club" continue their activities within the framework of the "Niko Ketskhoveli School Award 2022" project, which aims at the need for agrarian education for agricultural development. To achieve this goal, for the students of GASB - Eco Club, the school administration allocated a plot of land where students cultivated and brought organic products.
In the first stage, the students got acquainted with the cultivation of vegetable-garden crops, the rules of preparation of the plot, after getting acquainted with the information, they planted ordinary peas on the mentioned plot, the harvest of which is expected in the spring. This activity will, on the one hand, enhance students' knowledge of the agrarian field, and will also help implement a future plan, such as "Be the initiator of change - make sure you have access to healthy food in school cafeterias".
