A working meeting of the thematic group working on youth policy "Promoting Participation" was held.

Students  of the Georgian-American School of Batumi are involved in creating a policy document organized by the Batumi City Hall Youth Center.

On October 5, they participated in the Civic Participation Thematic Group Zoom meeting.

The meeting was attended by young people living in Batumi, representatives of the non-governmental and governmental sector, local self-government and higher education institutions, including 10th and 12th grade students of the Georgian-American School of Batumi:

  • Melita Chkhaidze

Natia Abkhazava, head of the Batumi branch of the non-governmental organization Civil Society Institute, was invited as a facilitator of the group.

The involvement of young people is important for the development of their active and responsible civic skills.
